How quickly can my roof refurbishment be completed?
You could be enjoying your new room in as little as 6 weeks due to our effective process and speed in securing approvals.
Our process is pretty similar whether we are constructing a dormer, hip-to-gable or mansard attic expansion.
Our roof refurbishment process
First things first. We call round at a convenient time to carry out your free consultation. We ask questions so that we fully understand your needs. We show you our past projects. This enables you to visualise the hidden potential of your dusty attic.
Once we have come up with your perfect space, we produce a fully inclusive quote. You won’t have any nasty shocks as we issue a transparent contract. We want you to have confidence in us and enjoy peace of mind.
Drawings and plans
Our talented architect draws up plans for your project. We submit these to the local authority. We have great relationships with local authorities and quickly get your plans approved. Party wall agreements which need to be signed by your neighbours are also taken care of by us.
Planning permission is not needed for many London roof expansions. If your project needs planning permission we quickly secure it.
Preparations for construction
Scaffolding is erected at your home. Building supplies and equipment start to arrive.
We make an opening in your roof. We keep the opening as small as possible and cover it at night. By using this opening to carry out most of our work; your home doesn’t become a building site. Mess and disruption are kept to a minimum. We are meticulous about clearing up at the end of a day’s work.
First we install your new floor joist along with steel beams to support your new room. Of course we also take care of any under floor pipes and wiring at this stage.
Construction gets underway
The exterior of your new roof is constructed and we tile where necessary. We build your internal walls now. Our plumber and electrician are busy getting the bulk of their essential tasks done.
New windows go in and your construction is insulated and made weatherproof.
